About Us

Senate is the legislative body of SGA. Senators are elected every year by the students of their College, or (in special cases) their student organization. A senator’s job is to reflect the opinions of all students in the College or organization they represent and act as the liaison between students and the administration. In addition to working within committees on projects to improve Illinois Tech in various areas, the Senate also votes to approve or deny all new student organization applications.
